A quick reflection on building static sites in 2026.
Building this website was an interesting experiment in using local AI workflows to construct a static Astro site.
The tooling has become incredibly fast. You can spin up a fully optimized, statically generated site with Tailwind and complete Markdown collection support in minutes. The real bottleneck is no longer the code—it’s getting the information architecture and the narrative right.
AI makes the coding trivial, which forces you to be much clearer about what you actually want to say.
